Painter and sculptor Betti Franceschi has a lifelong interest in grace, in bodies that speak. She is honored that top dancers, mostly ballet, have been her models. In these Still Point drawings, she zeroes in on the core of the body, the center, the organ of weight management, the focus of ballet technique, to show not how it looks but how it feels to dance. The drawings are graphite on Arches paper. The Still Point book won six nominations at the National Trust show in London and Frankfurt.
